Pottery All of our pottery is Handmade by Thor, either by traditional wheel thrown or hand building methods. It is microwave and dishwasher safe and we do not use any lead or cadmium based glazes. Thor creates pottery with the intention of enhancing our daily life through the use of utilitarian objects that reflect the warmth and spirit of Handmade items. As the daily grind takes over more of our time and attention, we all need that "human aspect" to remind us of what is really important. This reminder can be a simple wheel thrown votive holder or coffee cup that stands out among all the mass produced imported items that we continue to fill our lives with. Its important to remind ourselves that the items that we surround ourselves with or give as gifts are a direct reflection of who we are and how we feel about the person receiving the gift. When it matters, buy handmade, buy American and make sure it is made by thor.
Remember, ALL of our pottery is made by Thor. The average time for items to be made is between 4-6 weeks, probably longer. This being the case there will be times when we are out of certain items/colors. You can order now, but it may take up to 6 weeks before it is ready. Please be patient with us. Thor is our ONLY potter and there is only so many hours in the day. Orders are processed in the order they are received. If you need your order by a certain date, please put that in the comment section. Remember also that this is our busiest time of year. Order early for the Christmas season.
Made In America All the products that you purchase from us, are hand made right here in the USA. With so many companies outsourcing to other countries, it is very important for all of us to realize where our money is going. By purchasing products that are made in America, we are creating or saving someone's job. Where we live we have had a number of factories close and move to Mexico. This affects our economy as a whole. So Please be a bit more thoughtful on the items that you buy. Even if you don't buy from us, support your local merchants. I KNOW they will appreciate it!
